The annual road hearing was
conducted in conjunction with the regular meeting of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors on Thursday, April 1. Petitions and requests were made by residents concerning secondary roads in the county. Resident Engineer James K. Skeens, James 0. Fitzgerald and Maintenance Supervisor Douglas Bywaters were present to note proceedings.
With the arrival of spring, con artists are not far behind. People are warned to beware of anyone offering a service, especially septic tank cleaning and exterminating, and charging an exhorbitant fee when the job is supposedly done. Older people are usually the target of such activities which have already begun in the local area.
