Mrs. Ruth Peregory of Front Royal was a Saturday guest of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Peregory and children.

Mrs. Lucy Jenkins, Ms. Charlotee Gaines and Mrs. Linda Jenkins have been making trips to Charlottesville to visit Mrs. Nina Sisk in The Cedars Nursing Home.

Belated birthday wishes go out to Mrs. Ann Marie Hetzer who celebrated hers last week.

The 1991-92 school session of the Massanova Christian Academy opened on Monday and open house was held Monday evening.

Our great sympathy is offered to the family of Mrs. Dewey Kennedy who passed away Sunday at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home, Winchester at the age of 90.

Mr. C.F. Yates of down Griffinsburg way has recently returned from an extended trip to Russia.

Mr. and Mrs. Owen Cubbage attended a birthday party for one of the residents of Culpeper Health Care Center on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Jenkins of Front Royal were Sunday guests of Mrs. Clarence W. Jenkins.

Those gathering with Mrs. Cary Thornhill on Sunday were Miss Cindy Thornhill of Vienna, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thornhill of Grayson Hill, Gary Kopjanski, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Peneranda, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill, Mrs. George Butler, Melanie Thornhill and Mr. and Mrs. William Gibbs.

Mrs. Thornhill had received word from North Carolina of the death of her sister Mrs. Mattie Weaver Honts 90 years of age. Funeral services were conducted in Front Royal Wednesday.
