Beahm reunion
The descendants, friends and relatives of George W. and Nancy Bolen Beahm will hold their eighth aniftial reunion on Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and all friends and relatives are invited. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and beverage. Plates, plastic utensils and coffee will be provided. Crab feast
The Child Care and Learning Center will sponsor an “all-you-caneat” crab feast from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Amissville fire hall. The menu will consist of all-you-can-eat crabs, coleslaw, baked beans, hot dogs and beverages. Tickets are $15 and $7.50 for children 12 and under. For further information call CCLC at 675-3237.
Class reunion planned
The Rappahannock High class of 1981 has scheduled a 10-year class reunion for Oct. 12 and 13. Antique show and sale
The first annual Rappahannock County Antique Show and Sale will be held at Rappahannock Elementary Sept. 28 and 29. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and early bird is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Regular admission will be $3.50 and early bird costs $15. There will be quality merchandise, moderate prices and no reproductions and will benefit the Child Care and Learning Center. Interested dealers should contact Charles A. Dance at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. The band Tarragon will be featured. Proper dress is required and you must be 21. For more information or reservations call Sheila Scott, 937-4357.
GED classes to start
Classes to prepare individuals to take the GED test will begin at the Piedmont Technical Education Center at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Pre-GED classes are given free of charge, but there is a onetime charge of $30 for the books needed for the GED classes. Classes will continue through November on both Tuesday and Thursday nights. If a person cannot attend the first night, then they should come the first Tuesday or Thursday that is convenient. For more information call 703-825-0476.
