peper Hospital following successful surgery. He has joined Mrs. Hazel Zinn at Overlook in Warrenton while he regains his strength prior to returning home. (I hope you saw the lovely photo of Mrs. Zinn in the Fauquier Democrat’8 Aug. 15 issue.)
It’s great to see Mr. McWhirt out and around the village since he returned from the hospital.
I regret we were out of town on Aug. 18 and missed seeing Beverly Payne Chesser who was a special guest speaker at the^JHazel River Assembly of God Church. Author of Your Health Coach, Beverly provides physical and spiritual guidance to viewers through har TV show “Beverly Exercise” seen weekdays at 7 a.m. on WTKK Channel 66.
We still need to pray for rain; this is one of the driest years I recall. You know it’s dry when the well at Mrs. Stuart’s former house ceased to bring forth any more water last week. It had been an excellent well for many, many years.
My sister Wanda Dawson has been incapacitated for several days with a bad back, we send love and prayers.
Also, we send best wishes to our dear friend Wallace Glascock who is recovering from a heart attack and is a patient at Rappahannock General.

It's a girl!
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Flournoy Jr. of Washington announce the birth of their daughter, Morgan Elizabeth bom Aug. 16 at Winchester Medical Center. Morgan weighed six pounds and 10 ounces.
Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John R. DeBergh of Washington.
Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Flournoy Sr. of Midland.
