The final session of the Rappahannock County Library’s “Reading is Dino-mite” summer reading program was held at the library on Aug.
The Rappahannock National Bank had pledged to donate up to $1,000 based on a contribution of one dollar for each book read by kids this summer as a part of the reading program, as their effort to aid the library’s ongoing building fund and as an incentive to the children to read.
Bank president John Conry represented the bank at the evening’s program and presented a check for the $1,000 earned by the children to Elizabeth Jones, the children’s librarian.
