August 26, 1971

The visit last Wednesday of

the American Red Cross Bloodmobile to Rappahannock County was the most satisfactory one for some years. After an extreme effort was made by a number of volunteer workers, more donors were prompted to present themselves to give blood. The total number of donors was 64. The response of these people is encouraging and appreciated. Unless the county keeps up its blood quota they will not be eligible to participate in the Red Cross Blood program when it is needed by them.

Miss Judy Burtner received a Master of Education degree on August 14, 1971 from the University of Virginia, majoring in counseling in higher education. She had obtained her B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from Madison College in 1966.
