Town-county cable TV hearing
The Washington Town Council and the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will hold a concurrent public hearing on the Adelphia Cable TV franchise agreement, 7 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Rappahannock Courthouse.
Copies of the franchise document are available in County Administrator John McCarthy's office.
Officials from Adelphia will provide information on cost and channel offerings during the Dec. 16 hearing.
Red Cross seeks volunteers
The Fauquier County chapter of the American Red Cross, which serves Fauquier and Rappahannock counties, invites all interested Rappahannock residents to attend "Introduction to Disaster Services," 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Red Cross headquarters, 53 S. Third St., Warrenton.
The Dec. 11 class will provide volunteers with the basic information needed to help during an emergency.
