Beef production
workshop slated
The Virginia Cooperative Extension Service will hold the Northern Virginia area Beef Production Program, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 12 at Whitestone Farm in Aldie, Va.

Also, the Piedmont area Beef Production Clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9 at the Barboursville Fire Hall in Barboursville.

Christmas Shop
highlights artists
A group of artists from Fauquier and Rappahannock counties have opened a Christmas Shop on Route 55 in The Plains, in the vacant building next to the Rail Stop, to benefit The Plains Volunteer Fire Department.
Ten to 12 artists will offer notecards, jewelry, paintings, prints, handmade dolls, quilt racks, wooden crafts and homemade baked goods from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 6-8, 13-15, 20-22.
The shop will only be open during on those days.
