Although the team is balanced, Coach Leake has settled on a starting lineup and a three-guard configuration. The point guard is exchange student Damian Muriel, the shooting guards are Jason Fox and Kevin Jolliffe and the forwards are James Roy and Williams. Roy and Fox are captains.
The season opener begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 with the JV game. The varsity contest follows, at about 7:15 p.m. Luray, which plays in the Skyline District, returns four starters from last year’s .500 team. Coach Leake says simply, “It will be a major test.”
Also, a change has been made in the schedule. The Jan. 21 game at Brentsville has been changed to Jan. 30.
