Dec. 7 has been exercised by
the media for some time now. Fifty years ago a sneak attack, many lives lost, vast resources expended, Japan defeated, Japan rebuilt and now we owe them a lot of money we have had to borrow. Why haven’t we sent them a bill for Pearl Harbor at least? We are short of cash right now and need the money. When other countries win a war they loot and pillage and it is a money making venture, pure capitalism.
Another bad example of a poor venture is Iraq, we had nothing against the people, just the boss. We ended up killing a lot of the people including some of our own and the demon is still at large. We did not make a dime on it either.
I believe that I should allow the Rappahannock News to enter a disclaimer ’bout now wherein they deny any responsibility for the views expressed in this column. I will not accept the responsibility either but blame it on the Japanese.
