Each Sunday afternoon, the community room at the Rappahannock County Jail transforms into a place of meeting where inmates interested in a religious message can gather.
Each Sunday afternoon, the place called the jail fades in the eyes of some as friends come together in peace.
Interested county citizens have rotated turns and taken a special message to jail inmates for more than five years—spending 90 or more minutes in this room once a week.
It is something unique—in more ways than one.
