The top four teams make the tournament and Rappahannock lost the tie-breaker, but the team hopes to make it in 1992.
Leading the team is last year’s honorable mention all-Bull Run District setter Sherry Weakley. Coach Paratore said the senior was among the league’s best players last year.
Other returning seniors are Melissa Alther and Heather Coffey. Kelly Cunningham is the team’s other senior.
Returning juniors include Lori Paratore and Alice Reeve. Other juniors to make the team: Daphne Atkins, Morgan Hay, Melanie Moffett, Susan Payne, Laura Pendleton and Heather Rossiter. A sophomore, Shannon Walter, has been named to the varsity as well.
