Thomas Carlyle once said, "The eternal stars shine out as soon as it is dark enough."
This observation appears to be, unfortunately, true of man. It seems that many of us, in time of trouble, try to solve our problems every way but the right way. It is true that w'e must attempt to help ourselves and use our own available resources; yet, first of all, we need to go to God.
Psalms 34:19 assures us, saying, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all."
You do not have to wait until life is dark, until your troubles seem insurmountable. Praise God in His house this week as you look to him for guidance. When trouble threatens, ask God first.
