Tis the season to be jolly, and ’tis the weekend to visit Washington for its one annual observance that commemorates the town’s colonial history.
The 6th Annual Colonial Christmas Celebration in Washington, Va. runs from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and from noon to 7 p.m Sunday, Dec. 8.
A good place to start is the Rappahannock Historical Society on Gay Street, which will serve as the headquarters for the twoday celebration of “first” Washington’s colonial roots. Walking tours, schedules, and other information are available at the Historical Society during the entire celebration.
The following is a list of the various events scheduled for the weekend:
