Virginians in the know will saddle up for wire to wire action when they attend any of the 20 point-to-points and sanctioned race meets held in Northern Virginia this spring.
The 1992 Virginia Steeplechase season opens Feb. 22 with the Casanova Point-toPoint. Trainers from near and far will most assuredly be on hand to welcome the new year of exciting racing throughout the Old Dominion from Feb. 22 through the middle of May.
As always, the Virginia point-to-point circuit will play a vital role in introducing many of the country’s top ’chasers to thepublic. Last year saw five of the top 10 money-winning chaser horses face starter’s orders in Virginia races, including Eclipse nominees Yaw and Declare Your Wish.
