The Spring Mountain School Christmas Bazaar will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 in Washington. Activities include the lighting of the Advent Garden, storytelling and children’s craftmaking room. Wonderful handmade Christmas gifts, as well as giftgiving children’s books, books on parenting, gifts from Hearthsong, toys, 100 percent cotton children’s clothing and Culinary delights. Democratic Appreciation Party
; The Rappahannock County Democratic Party invites everyone to an Appreciation Evening for Election Survival at the Oasis Vineyard on Route 635 in Hume. The evening will feature snacks and fellowship.
The festivities will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18. A $5 donation will be appreciated, but is not required. For more information call 987-8410.
1 Breakfast at Washington
Washington Volunteer Fire Department will have a breakfast from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19. jThe breakfast will consist of sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, fried apples, milk, coffee, tea, juice and hot chocolate. Prices will be $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Boosters Selling Citrus Fruit
The Rappahannock County Music Boosters are selling citrus fruit to support the RCS band and choir programs. Several delicious varieties are available; navel oranges, tangelos, juice oranges, and Indian River red grapefruit. Each box (4/5 bushel) is $20 and a half box (2/5 bushel) is $12. Sunburst tangerines are also available in a 2/5 bushel box for $20. To order, please contact Sally Havstad at 987-9342. Fruit should arrive on Friday, Dec. 16. “Of course, donations are always welcome in lieu of purchase. Thank you for you continued support,” said Ms. Havstad.
