With the opening of the general (ieer season on Nov. 21, nearly MOO,000 hunters will be taking to the woods of Virginia. A deer herd that is nudging the one million mark and liberal bag limits means an abundance of venison.

Virginia Hunters Who Care"Hunters For The Hungry,” provides an outstanding program for these sportsmen and women to assist the less fortunate by donating any venison they don’t need or want.

Hunters For The Hungry began in 1991 as a program to process and distribute meat to the needy across the state. In two years, Virginia hunters have shown their generosity by providing over 100,000 pounds of venison to the hungry.

Hunters For The Hungry tare again asking hunters to donate their legally harvested deer through a participating processor. All funds used to cover the cost of program operation, processing and distribution are provided by tax deductible, charitable contributions.
