State Forester James Gamer implemented a ban on open burning at midnight, Nov. 8 in all counties, localities and portions thereof that lie west of Route 29 in the Commonwealth. This ban is expected to remain in effect until a significant amount of precipitation occurs.

Precipitation totals must exceed one inch in order to remove the present danger.
