The families of Rappahannock are most fortunate to have the assistance of the Rappahannock Sheriff s Department.
One instance is the availability of the department to assist in traffic control and escorting families during funeral processions. When other small localities have started to charge for this service, we, in Rappahannock, are able to receive these services without additional charge. Because of their assistance, this helps alleviate families from undo worry at their time of loss.
Thank you to Sheriff Woodward, all officers, deputies and dispatchers for all their help in the past and future with this unrecognized service.

Economists predict that by the year 2010, the unemployment rate may soar to an alarming 20 percent. The present downsizing of major industries, buy-outs of the federal government employees and deep slashes in the military budget should be a valid reason to wake up and smell the coffee.
I was shocked at the reception Disney got in Prince William County by an organized minority. While they were small, they were monied and well funded.
