the Grigsby, Pawleys, orSettles.

We have foud memories of Rock Mills and the Pawleys. When I came to this county in 1957, on Saturday night we went to Pawley’s store where the, local musicians played, and we danced on the store porch. They always played “Red Wings’" for Mrs. Pawley because she loved it so much. '

Other fond memories of Rock Mills are gathering at Harry Settle’s " on Shnday where his wife, Rosie cooked for at least thirty people, and had that many different dishes. Everyone seemed happy and congenial. Usually some Grigsbys were there too. Incidentally Richard’s step-father was Dudley Grigsby, Floyd’s uncle.

My husband feels nostalgic about Rock Mills, where he spent his boyhood along with the Grigsby and other Settle boys swimming in the river. Because of this and Mt. Salem Church, he and our grandson were baptized at Rock Mills this summer.

We also enjoy all of the magnificent creations of the almighty, including his people. Too bad there was a misunderstanding. Perhaps this misunderstanding would not have occured if Mr. Grigsby or Mr. Rottier had talked to us. In any case we regret it and hope the affair is over. \
