My, husband, Ricky and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Ashleigh Dawn. Ashleigh was born Dec. 26 at 3:27 p.m. at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She weighed seven pounds, nine ounces and was 21 inches long.

Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard L. Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Menefee and the late Nelson F. Jenkins. Great grandmother is Mrs. Sadie Durham.

Visitors in our home during the past weeks to welcome Ashleigh included Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jenkins, Kirk, Christal, Tom and Ted, Mrs. Barbara Payne, Melissa and Al, Wanda Payne and Lauren, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Jenkins and Julie, Doug Baumgardner, Suzanne Jenkins, Kelly and Melanie, all of Washington, Ann Brown of Woodville, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jenkins and Angie, James Jenkins, Donna Clark and Bryan, Sandra Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Lack Baldwin and David, Lisa Dodson and Lee Anna Wharton, all local.

Mr. Paul Brown returned to the Virginia Military Institute on Jan. 15 after spending several weeks here with his family and friends.

Last Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jenkins and Angie were Larry Jenkins of Falls Church, Richard Jenkins, Amy Wharton and Amanda of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Pullen and Ashleigh of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Jenkins, Bryan Clark and Mark Sisk.
