WARRENTON — A Warrenton man is free on bond after his arrest Monday evening at Western Sizzlin’ restaurant.

James Ellis Ferguson, 55, whose address is listed as the Comfort Inn, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to Trooper R.L. Fiorvanti of the Virginia State Police. The felony charge was filed in Fairfax County a year and a half ago; but Mr. Ferguson was never arrested. He has eluded police since June of 1994.

Trooper Fiorvanti said troopers, acting on a tip, served a search warrant on Ferguson’s room at the motel. He was seen a few minutes later

Semifinalist

RCHS senior Jim Clark was named a semifinalist in the Westinghouse Science Talent Search, one of 16 in Virginia and 350 nationwide.

He submitted his project of using a computer to solve the “Traveling Salesman Problem.”

Jim will know soon if he is a finalist. Only-24 are chosen nationwide.
