My name is Samuel Dee Berry, and I am currently an inmate at the Rappahannock County Jail.
I would like to thank the Rev. Jennings Hobson, his family, and the members of the Trinjty Episcopal Church for all their support and efforts throughout the holiday season. They gave the inmates here a very nice Christmas dinner and a comfortable evening of caroling and fellowship.
I am especially grateful for.all the prayers and assistance given to my loved ones at home, Patricia and Brandon Berry, during these difficult times of incarceration.
Also, I would like to let my wife and son know that they are thought of with each passing day and that my love and best wishes go out to them.

Maybe you would not have been so critical of VDOT’s efficiency following the Blizzard of ’96 had you worked around the clock for days under the extreme weather conditions the VDOT crews faced.
If you and any other critics of VDOT’s efforts can do a better job, I am certain the VDOT employees would be happy to change places with you during the next snow storm.
The VDOT employees deserve our thank's, not criticism, for their efforts during and after the Blizzard of’96.
