His attorney said it was a case of running with the wrong crowd and not being “terribly bright.” The Commonwealth’s attorney said he knew what he was doing and the evidence tied him to the crimes.
The jury agreed with the Commonwealth’s attorney.
Roy Allen Thomas Jr., 25, of Hume, was found guilty of Jtwo counts of breaking and entering, two counts of grand larceny and one count of theft of a firearm.
Mr. Thomas said he was not guilty last week before the Circuit Court in Rappahannock and his lawyer, Roy D. Bradley, said it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people.
