the microphone on the computer. It then utilizes bio-feedback equipment to analyze the sound of the voice, breaking down the individual notes and counting frequency of those notes. That is plotted out and determines notes and sounds which produce harmony and balance for that specific individual. Those notes are then used for the therapy.
Next month, she plans to start another vocal group, which has not been named as yet but which will be a healing sound choir, Beth said.
The difference between this group and others she has been involved with is that this group’s purpose will be to provide a warm nurturing process and environment that will allow listeners to participate in the actual singing.
She believes anyone can sing, “If you can talk, you can sing.”
Every other Sunday night, beginning Sept. 14, everyone interested, from youth to adult, is invited to visit the RHAC and participate in the group singing. Beth may be reached at the RHAC, 675-3108.
