in Huntly, Sept. 24. Charles R. Mills of Culpeper was the winner of the grand prize, a 1972 Pinto, given away Saturday night at. the conclusion of the Amissville carnival. A group of Rappahannock Girl Scouts are attending camp at Boston, Va. this week along with girls from Culpeper and Orange counties. Edward D. Tayloe, II has joined the investment firm of Thomson and McKinnon Auchincloss, Inc. as an account executive in their Charlottesville office.

Virginians in the Shenandoah Valley are being urged to tell the State Corporation Commission’s Bureau of Insurance about their problems finding and affording liability insurance coverage. The Virginia Board of Education has scheduled a public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Warren County High School, Luray Avenue, Front Royal, to give interested persons the opportunity to submit ideas and suggestions on proposed new Standards of Quality for Virginia public schools. The Rappahannock County Schools have announced the policy for free and reduced price meals for children unable to pay the full price.
