Chelsea Smoot of Washington was given a birthday party by her parents Charles and Lyn Smoot on Saturday, Aug. 23. Chelsea turned two on Aug. 22.
Attending the celebration were her grandfather Charles Smoot Sr., grandmother Mae Smoot, Aunt Nancy, grandmother Mary Bailey, Harry Smoot and her two aunts Emmy and Grace Bailey.

Chelsie Skaggs was honored on her first birthday with a party given by her parents Stacy Ricketts and Tim Skaggs on Sunday, Aug. 24 at the Ed Stump playground in Front Royal.

Recent campers at The Family Campground in Paradise, Pa. were Mr. and, Mrs. Edward M. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown, and daughters Amanda and Bobbie Jo and Lucy Burnham, Rusty Smoot, Ms. Ginger Estes and daughter Jessica. The group camped for five days and enjoyed Hershey Park, The Green Dragon Flea Market and the good food.
Mrs. Jean B. Moffett has returned home after visiting with Captain and Mrs. D.C. Welling and family in Fairfax Station.
