Doretha Howard Butler of Sperryville has accepted a job as Assistant Principal at the Rawls Byrd Elementary School in Williamsburg as of July 28.
Miss Butler graduated in the class of 1987 from Rappahannock High School and received a masters degree from William and Mary University in 1995.
She is the daughter of Dorothy C. Butler of Sperryville and the late Howard H. Butler.
