Mary Frances Wharton Estes Roberts, 74, of Culpeper, died Monday, Aug. 25 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
She was born in Rappahannock County on Feb. 19, 1923 to the late John Fincham and Dillie Nicholson.
Survivors include two daughters Frances Ann Martin of Culpeper and Mildred Jane Atkins of Amissville; two sons Lewis Elmer Wharton of Front Royal and John Thomas Wharton of Culpeper; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two brothers Earl Wharton of Culpeper and John William Fincham of Winchester.
Preceded in death by husband Mason Thomas Wharton and three sisters Elva Batchler, Susie Fry and Pauline Leake.
Funeral services will be held at Clore-Geest Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Charles Shifflett officiating.
Interment in Sperryville Cemetery.
