said the hospital’s public relations office Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office picked up Lester W. Chapman, 50, at the Parkway Gift Shop in Sperryville for loitering on the morning of Aug. 12.

Mr. Chapman was taken to Family Guidance for evaluation to determine if he was okay, they said he was and he was released.

He then told authorities he wanted to go to Page County and left. Allegedly he then went down the road to U.S. 211 and drove off in a ‘94 Ford F150, which was parked on U.S. 211 by APAC crews doing road work there. APAC reported it missing.

Mr. Chapman apparently drove the vehicle to Page County. It was found there,
