beware! This could happen to you! Ask questions! Why does the road have to be widened — killing trees and destroying the rural character? Why are “new” (bigger?) pipes necessary? Why does the road have to be “resurfaced” at all? (Paving does increase speed!)
Our coiftmunity trails committee is now trying to get VDOT to implement traffic calming methods to reduce the speed on Route 628 so we can ride safely on the community trails along the now paved road.
Read the Pave in Place bill and force VDOT to comply. You have a right to know what is going on. It’s your tax money!
