She later attended Shenandoah University to obtain her teaching certification. During this time she was also working part time jobs and giving private lessons in order to pay for her continuing education. Her commitment to music is very powerful, she said.
After receiving her certification at Shenandoah, she moved to Rappahannock County and secured a job teaching music in the public school system for a year. After that she was music teacher for two years at Spring Mountain School, a private institution in Washington, Va.
It was shortly after moving to Rappahannock that Beth met and married Lee Levick. They have two children, Cara, 14, and Rudy, 11, who attend Rappahannock public schools.
Lee, who owns Levick Construction, is a self-employed contractor.
For a long time, Beth said, she stayed home, taking care of the family. But she still gave private music lessons in voice, piano, harp and guitar.
She also began to compose original music opening a new dimension for herself.
