George William Jenkins, 76, of Culpeper, died on Monday, Aug. 25 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 17, 1921 in Rappahannock to the late Will Stevens Jenkins and Minnie Fincham Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mable Reva Jenkins; sons and daughters, Thomas W. Jenkins of Culpeper, James E. Jenkins of Falling Waters, W.Va., Charles N. Jenkins of Centreville, Linda White, Brenda Bowers, Donald (Donnie) Jenkins and Kenneth (Kenny) Jenkins, all of Culpeper.
He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother Charles E. Jenkins of Culpeper; two sisters Edna Riddle of Front Royal and Estelle Skiles of Knox City, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son George R. Jenkins and two brothers Robert H. Jenkins and Floyd Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Everett McCormick officiating.
