County Administrator John McCarthy, promise to provide us with valuable insight into the problems and prospects for the future of our community. From the articles I have read in the Rappahannock News over the past few months, Mr. Gooch’s committee appears to be conscientiously weighing the needs and alternatives for our charming and unique little town which we all want to keep that way.
I am confident that Mr. Gooch and his committee welcome the reasoned opinions and advise of everyone — experts and citizens, supporters and doubters, alike.
I would also add that the future of Washington, Va. is influenced not only by its interesting past, but by its promising future. And that future has been immeasurably enhanced by the fame — and yes, fortune — brought to our small community by The Inn at Little Washington. How fortunate we are!
