Come and see our own middle and high school students performing “step,” singing and dramatic speaking at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on Friday, July 23 at 2 p.m. or on Saturday, July 24 at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

“Step” is an ancient dance form which combines the movement of military drill with the fluid rhythms of dance.

Students will also be singing Spirituals and reading excerpts from historical interviews which will weave song and dance into a performance that will touch and captivate you.

This performance, sponsored by Headwaters, Inc. (the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation) was made possible in large part by a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
