• Dr. Gangel recommended that $3000 in Piedmont Vocational Program rebates be provided to help support a new Piedmont/Germanna auto mechanic vocational program. This program would focus on instructing students in onboard computer diagnostics, and is being supported by area auto retailers.
• The Superintendent provided the Board with the final 1999-2000 budget. Included in the final budget was $83,719 for capital items earlier removed and now returned by a Board of Supervisors appropriation on July 7.
• Assistant Superintendent Mary Anne Biggs apprised the Board of donations of computer equipment by Michael Leake of the Rappahannock Bank and Mary Jamieson, and of $175 in funds held over from a defunct academic booster club by Barbara Dennis.
