Cordani was 1 credited with saving the child’s life ' and was presented a plaque. The Rev. Ronald Wiley of ,, Sperryville instructed 4-H’ers at Round About Camp in the proper techniques of mastering archery. More than 35 children attended the day camp which was in progress a week.

Local Lions planted blue spruce J trees in front of the elementary school as part of an Environmental! Awareness Week project to encour- • age local children to take a hand in' improving their environment. 11 Participating were Roger Andrews, J.R. Gollsby, RCES Principal Bernard Chesshir and A1 Doub. The trees were donated bjy Lion Fanning Baumgardner. The sale of the Rappahannock Library building to the Town of Washington was finally completed last Thursday when representatives of the town, the Board of Supervisors and the Library’s Boafd of Trustees signed the contract. s The county reqeived $150,000 for the library, which was turned over to the Library Board. The library will be able to lease the building back for up to two years at one dolr lar per year.
