Johnson
indicted
On July 12, a Rappahannock County grand jury returned two indictments against Joseph Johnson, 41, of Scrabble. The charges against Johnson, stemming from the shooting death of Willie Steve Nichols, Jr. in March, are homicide and use of a firearm in committing a felony.
A trial date has not been set. Johnson is being held without bond.
