Joanne Bankston *

Home: Woodville Occupation: Salesperson, Rare Finds Accomplishments: Mrs. Bankston stays involved with children. She teaches Children’s Church at Hope Hill Baptist. She also volunteers at the elementary school when needed. There, she has served as chaperone for field trips and helped with set-up and take down at the Science Fair among other things. Mrs. Bankston has also served as Team Mom for the Rappahannock Under-14 soccer team for the last two seasons. She is active with the Piedmont Feline Rescue League, baking goods to raise money, making trips to the veterinarian, and helping out in other areas when needed. Mrs. Bankston participated in the recent American Cancer Society Relay For Life. She has a personal interest in the fight against Cancer, as her son has been undergoing Cancer treatments. The good news is that he is now in remission. Joanne’s husband is Jim Bankston, the local Game Warden.
