SOCIAL SERVICES has an opening for a Social Worker to provide services to prevent placement of children outside the home, to oversee day care and to coordinate services through the Comprehensive Services Act.
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required: Knowledge of social work principles and practices; knowledge of human behavior; ability to exchange information orally with clients, co-workers, and staff members of other agencies; ability to make and implement case decisions; ability to assess an individuals and/or family's strengths and needs, knowledge of social, economic, and health problems that face individual’s groups and communities; ability to respond to the client’s emotions; ability to plan and manage with supervision, own work activities; ability to write; and ability to interpret laws, policies, and regulations.
