The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will sponsor their annual Fireman’s Carnival -July 21-24 at the carnival grounds.
Five Star Amusements is again providing rides and concessions and have added two new rides this year. Wednesday night is family night and the rides are $6 all-you-can ride until closing. All other nights, the rides are $8 all-youcan ride until closing. The carnival starts at 7 each evening and the parade starts at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
The newly crowned Miss Virginia 1999 will be making her first public appearance at the parade again this year.
Wayne Blosser is again providing his “famous” chicken barbecue dinners on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and the Ladies Auxiliary is providing fine food and baked goods for your eating enjoyment each night.
Saturday night will be the crowning of the carnival queens, and they will pick the winning raffle tickets for the purebred black Angus heifer, the beanie baby raffle, and the grand prize a loaded 1999 Ford ranger pick-up truck.
