Management Practices Cost-Share Program.
The cost-share program was established to help farmers install conservation practices that will protect water quality plus make their farms more productive. CSWCD is authorized to pay up to seventy-five percent of the eligible cost of fencing and establishing a water system. Additionally, farmefs can receive a tax credit on the portion of the cost not covered by the cost-share funds.
There are several possibilities for establishing a reliable, conservation-friendly water source. If a reliable spring can be found, the spring water can be collected and piped to a water trough.
