Cellular towers
Learning about towers and setting reasonable standards is our best bet.
While Rappahannock County officials have been hard at work on a new ordinance to control the erection of cellular communications towers in Rappahannock, much has been happening in other parts of the nation that prove — at the least — that we are not alone. From California to Rock Creek in the “other” Washington, to our neighbors in Albemarle and Fauquier counties, local governments are actively chewing on this problem. Up north in Martha’s Vineyard — where the people there are as protective of their natural environment as we are in Rappahannock — a new option was recently offered.
