Alice H. Hitt of Amissville; one daughter, Peggie H. Woodard and her husband, Jim of Amissville;. one son, Robert Franklin Hitt and his wife, Donna of Rixeyville; four sisters, Virgie Burke, Ruth Fishback and Lucille Payne, all of Warrenton and Dorothy Weibel of Manassas and two grandchildren of Amissville.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Campbell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 14 at Amissville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Gordon. Burial was in the Hitt family cemetery in Amissville. Moser Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
