Gorfein to present

“issues” speech

Meredith Gorfein, Democratic candidate for the 31st District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, will present the third in a series of “issues” speeches on Friday, Sept. 3 at40 a.m. in the “Commons” area near the John Barton Payne Building in Warrenton.

Titling this speech “Education & Sprawl - Who pays?", Meredith Gorfein will contrast her position on these issues with her opponent’s voting record. She will be speaking in a different public place in the 31st District (which covers most of Fauquier, all of Rappahannock, and part of Warren Counties) every Friday morning between now and Nov. 2.

Program to begin

The fall session of the Rappahannock County Adult Education Program will commence on Sept. 20. A variety of classes will be offered this year, from Conversational Spanish to Word Processing. Most classes are comprised of eight two-hour sessions and cost $40.
