Possibly the one thing they are best known for is the Green Pages. The idea came to them in 1996 while sitting at the kitchen table, which Chris says is where all of their ideas come from. Rappahannock County has no chamber of commerce to provide business listings, and the phone books “are almost useless,” says Salmon.
So they began work on a listing of businesses and government agencies in the county. The Salmons added that County Administrator John McCarthy was a great help with this project.
The first Green Pages was published iti 1997. and was a big success. “We had no idea it would do as well as it did.” said
