The Sperryville United Methodist Church will have worship service at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 5. Rev. Merlin Shorb invites the public.
Mrs. Catherine Brown celebrated her 92nd birthday on Aug. 28 at the Warrenton Overlook Rehab Facility.
Those helping her celebrate were Mrs. Barbara Payne of Warrenton, John and Tammy Brown of Centreville, Benny Brown, Beverly Reed and children R.T. and Kayla, all of Winchester, Julian Brown of Lake of the Woods, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Kushner of Montgomery Village, Md., Judy Deal of Hume, Beverly Samuels of Luray and Mr. and Mrs. Strother Brown and Jay.
We wish Mrs. Brown a belated happy birthday.
The Sperryville United Methodist Church Choir visited Mrs. Brown on Friday evening and sang to her.
Other guests of Mrs. Brown during the weekend were Mattie May Wines, Gladys Moore and Martha May Giles.
Mrs. Brown appreciates all the cards and visits from everyone since being a patient at Warrenton Overlook.
Birthday wishes go out to1' Chris Anderson who celebrated his 10th birthday on Aug. 31.
