Sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Stella Burke, widow of Woodrow Burke who passed away in University of Virginia Hospital on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Cave of Route 707 were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Jenkins in Sperryville.
With all children back in school some of our local ladies decided to treat themselves to a day out, by dining at China Jade in Culpeper and those in the group included: Mrs. Cindy Heflin, Mrs. Robin Grigsby and Chrissy, Mrs. Nancy Robinson, Mrs. Janet Peregory and Mrs. Melissa Bragg.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie White and daughter, Tabitha and Jennifer Peregory spent the weekend “tent camping” at Yogi Bear Campground near Luray.
We’re glad to report that Mrs. Rosie Wharton who has been with her sister, Miss Mary Tharp on Aaron Mountain Road is much improved and able to be in church on Sunday.
We also extend to Mrs. Wharton, belated birthday wishes, her day being Friday, Aug. 27.
