Students are eager to meet their teachers and to get reacquainted ivith their friends and classmates. ^Teachers and aides are busy preparing their rooms and planning for their first weeks with their students. « Secretaries are continuing to register children, even now, and to iipdate the countless stacks of students files that need attention. * Custodians are keeping the ^already spotless” buildings in shape for the first weeks of school and completing additional necessary maintenance projects, not an easy task jvhen you consider the daily traffic at each site.
The cafeteria staff must be ready to feed all of our students everyday, a fete that must be admired. Imagine, if you will, the task of preparing a Thanksgiving dinner for your family, then imagine having to feed 1,000 people, everyday! Amazing.
Our school nurse is updating children’s medical files as well as contacting parents about immunizations apd other student health issues.
Administrators are somehow managing to keep everything running smoothly while making themselves available to anyone with questions or concerns. The task is major, but our staff has met the challenge. Your children (our community’s children) are in for a wonderful year!
There are many new faces at both schools this year, and we are very pleased to have this new energy and enthusiasm. These new staffers complement our returning staff beautifully and we look forward to a very successful year.
