Team captains Amy Clinedinst and Amanda Weakley, along with Robyn Pivarnik and Adrianne Moore, are expected to be the keys to the JV Lady Panthers success this season.
Jenkins says that she has a pretty solid team, and that they can have a good season. Even with the tougher competition in the recently expanded Bull Run District, Jenkins believes that the JV team is capable of finishing in the upper half of the district.
Girls basketball season begins Sept. 2 at home against Page County. The JV game tips off at 6 p.m., and the varsity contest will follow.
